Lindeman Island Getaways
Lindeman Island Stays
The most southerly island of the Whitsunday Group, 32 km (20 miles) from the coast, Lindeman Island is a national park, part of the Whitsunday Islands off the coast of Queensland, and a spectacular setting for a magnificent Club Med Resort. Club Med is second-to-none in providing luxury romantic getaways.
Lindeman Island, mostly a national park, boasts over 20 kilometres of beautifully maintained bushwalking tracks.
Stroll through Butterfly Valley or climb Mount Oldfield which is 212 metres above sea level and drink in the views of Pentecost, Hamilton, and Whitsunday Islands.
Lindeman Island has seven pristine beaches with Gap Beach a true gem as a superb location for snorkeling and oystering. Golden orchids grow on the mangroves at the end of the beach and over 90 species of birds dart through the trees.
Dolphins can often be spotted from the shore all throughout the year. While during whale-watching season from July to November, Humpback whales can often be seen as well.
There are a number of tiny islands dotted around Lindeman all a short dinghy ride away and perfect for a day of personal paradise.
Lindeman Island is also home of Australia’s first Club Med Resort. There are plenty of activities on offer for you to do as little as much as you’d like on your holiday. There is also a camping ground at Boat Port in the north of the island.
Get to Club Med Lindeman island by air or launch from Shute Harbour. Or fly direct to the nearest airport on Hamilton Island and cruise by launch from there.
